How x-flow works

Research shows that listening to music at a particular tempo (beats per minute or BPM) while running can have the effect of synchronizing your heart rate to the songs tempo.

An optimized run takes your heart rate to about 80% of your max heart rate. Max rate is an age dependent number and a good rule of thumb is max heart rate = 220 - age in years.

x-flow asks for your age, distance you want to run and the time you want to finish this distance in. It divides the run into 3 stages: warm-up, the middle slog and the strong finish.
